71: Revitalizing Downtown Birmingham Through Adaptive Reuse with Mike Mouron

ACRE Director of Research KC Conway speaks with real estate developer and Capstone Real Estate Investments, LLC, Chairman Mike Mouron about his downtown Birmingham Federal Reserve building and Greyhound bus terminal adaptive reuse projects and his thoughts on changes to CRE post-coronavirus.

Mike Mouron is a graduate of the University of Alabama and a CPA. In 1990, he founded Capstone Development Corporation and led it to its position of leadership within the student housing market niche until January 1, 2012, when the company was divided into four separate but synergistic companies. Mike remains involved with all the successive companies in a variety of roles. Mike and his wife Kathy are also involved in several philanthropic endeavors, including leading the fundraising campaign for the Stran-Hardin Arena for adapted student athletes at The University of Alabama.
